The Rank Podcast

The Rank is a weekly podcast hosted by John, dedicated to figuring out what’s great, what’s garbage, and what truly deserves a spot among the all-time greats.

The show began as a way for two longtime friends to reconnect over their shared love of movies and sitcoms.  What started as a fun, casual project soon grew into something more - and when life took the co-host in another direction, John kept it going solo to continue the mission:  watch everything, rank everything, and build the ultimate guide to pop culture.

Each episode focuses on a single movie or sitcom episode, and ranks it based on what it is - not what critics wish it were.  Action movies are judged as action movies.  Comedies are judged as comedies.  The goal is to help people find the best of any genre, without having to wade through reviews written for awards voters.

Instead of a single score, each title gets placed into a custom ranking category, from masterpieces to disasterpieces - and everywhere in between.

Whether it’s a cult classic, a forgotten flop, or a beloved rerun, The Rank is here to break it down, sort it out, and put it in its rightful place.
